This two storey brick and concrete building is an essential site for providing internet and tele-communications in Christchurch. Seismic assessment revealed work was needed to ensure it could withstand major seismic events.
Ventia required a contractor to work closely with their structural engineers to ensure a smooth and seamless earthquake strengthening project to bring this building up to a higher than usual seismic standard due to the critical nature of the equipment it houses. As the lead contractor Metro provided multiple trades and worked in with other specialised service providers. The project was finished on time and to standard.
