Armoury Door
NZ Police required a door to meet ballistic standards while not disturbing the existing door and hardware.
One of the challenges for Metro was to secure the contents within this storeroom providing security to a level that resisted a bomb threat. The existing door, joinery and hardware was to remain in place under instructions from the building owner. After locating a door in New Zealand that met Police ballistic standards the remaining challenges were how to install without disturbing the existing door and how to mount the exceptionally heavy door which weighed over a tonne.
Metro devised a secure rail mount system including electronic locking and monitoring.
